Week 3 Reading: Live, Laugh, and Love

Live, Laugh, Love. Three words to live by. I found this to be so inspirational. People often go through life sad and bitter, but people determine their own happiness whether they intend to or not. Just living by these three words can promote happiness and well being in ones life, and can be so simple to do. After reading this, I found that peoples attitudes play a great role in their everyday lives. A person that has negative opinions on life typically have a negative sense of life, just like a person that perceives everything as positive typically has a positive opinion about everything. I just wish all of the negative people in the world could come to this realization of how easy it is to live, laugh, and love, and how much happier their lives would be, as well as the ones around them.

  1. Rose, when I read your “Live, Laugh, Love” post I couldn’t help remembering back to Tim Brown’s “Creativity & Play” talk. I think Dr. Siegel showed us this video in GSM.

It can be so refreshing to consider the way children view the world around them. They’re not trapped in the same mindset as adults, where everything is concrete and has a logical answer. Kids find fun in the most mundane objects and humor in just about anything. I’m so glad you connected The Art of Possibility to having a sense of humor about life! You have that spark to your personality. Part of it all comes down to perspective…and if you can find the funny side of a tough situation it can make everything better. Thank you for putting the “love” part in there. What a good reminder! Sometimes Love is a mindset, even more than a feeling.

  2. It is almost always the top half empty or half full thing... This isn't to say that some seem to have a more difficult road to traverse than others, but then it's still about how we travel that road and not the destination. Let's see, how many more metaphors can I mix?

  3. My girlfriend found a saying posted on facebook that also comes to mind: "Fear is the little darkroom where negatives are developed."
